The Nebraska BaP Kickoff was held at the 2000 Nebraska Association of Teachers of Science (NATS) fall State Conference

A 91/2 hour professional development workshop was attended by the Nebraska Key Leaders at the 2000 Nebraska Association of Teachers of Science (NATS) fall State Conference

Several Key Leaders and the State Coordinator attended NSTA and the BaP sessions in St. Louis in March 2000

Nebraska Key Leaders will attend a 6 1/2 hour professional development workshop at the 2001 Nebraska Association of Teachers of Science (NATS) fall State Conference in Fremont, NE October 25-27. A copy of the National Science Education Standards will be provided to each Key Leader for each of their Points of Contact.

Key Leaders in several Educational Service Units throughout the state have provided professional development to their Points of Contact in the National Science Education Standards, Assessment and/or Inquiry Learning. A copy of the National Science Education Standards will be provided for each of their Points of Contact that does not already possess one during future workshops.

The State Coordinator and several Key Leaders will attend the National Science Teachers Association meeting in San Diego, CA this March.

Key Leaders in several Educational Service Units throughout the state have provided professional development to their Points of Contact in the National Science Education Standards, Assessment and/or Inquiry Learning.

Eight Nebraska Key Leaders and over 50 Points of Contact from ESU 19, the Omaha Public Schools, gave professional development in science and inquiry to more than 25,000 elementary and secondary science teachers on August 30 of this year. Much of information used in the training sessions was provided by the Online Inquiry course offered during the summer.

Nebraska Key Leaders will attend a 6 1/2 hour professional development workshop at the 2002 Nebraska Association of Teachers of Science (NATS) fall State Conference in Fremont, NE October 24-26. The theme for this years conference is assessment. Many of the Key Leaders will also be presenters. This year a Point of Contact reception is being held to honor Nebraska's PoCs.

The State Coordinator and several Key Leaders will attend the National Science Teachers Association meeting in Philadelphia, PA this March.
